Weaver's Book Fair Has Been Extended Into Cyberspace!  Shop online now through Friday, November 11.

OVERVIEW
The Book Fair is one of our PTA fundraising events. For one week in the fall and one week in the spring, our Media Center is transformed (throught the help of Scholastic Books) into a fully functioning book store. Exciting and educating book choices are offered for all ages and reading levels of the students in our school.  Volunteers are needed to help with classroom previews in which each class visits the book fair and fills out a "wish list" of titles they are interested in. These "wish lists" are tallied and sent home with the students. Volunteers are also needed to restock inventory and assist shoppers (parents and students) in finding just the right books to suit them.

VOLUNTEERS
We appreciate volunteers every day of the book fair.  Volunteers are needed in the morning (book fair opens at 7:30 am) and throughout the day (typically in 1 hour shifts) including up to an hour after school lets out. We stay open late one afternoon to allow for the parents with children in Kids' Corner the opportunity to shop the Book Fair. To volunteer your time, simply sign up at volunteerspot.com

Volunteers with artistic or creative talents are also needed to help create signage and decorate the Media Center according to the theme of the current Book Fair.

Note: The proceeds from the Book Fair go towards upgrading our Media Center , supplying new guided reading choices in classrooms, replacing old and damaged library books and adding new reading material to the library as well!
